Health and Social Care Standards – In Practice

Date of event: 23/01/2018

Glasgow

Scotland’s new Health and Social Care Standards look and feel very different from the old National Care Standards. Rather than listing provider inputs for different types of services, they set out what human rights and wellbeing look like for an individual experiencing any kind of health or social care. This includes children and young people, with the new Standards reflecting the GIRFEC wellbeing indicators.

In this second GCVS briefing session, Henry Mathias, the Care Inspectorate’s Strategic Lead for Scotland’s new Health and Social Care Standards, will talk about what the Standards mean for early learning and childcare. The session will look at the Standards in detail and highlight how they will affect the inspection of registered services.
