Managers and staff within care home services are invited to attend an online session to discuss the implementation of the Health and Care (Staffing) (Scotland) Act 2019.
These sessions will take place on:
- 1 February 2023, 14:00 and 18:00
These will be held on Microsoft Teams and will last approximately one hour.
Members from the Scottish Government’s Act Implementation Team and colleagues from the Care Inspectorate’s Safe Staffing Programme Team will provide an overview of the duties that will come into force as the legislation is commenced, and the support available. There will also be an opportunity for informal discussions. This will allow the Implementation Team and Safe Staffing Programme to understand what support care homes might need in preparing for commencement of the legislation and ensure the statutory guidance supports care homes to implement this effectively.
