The meaningful connection, visiting and Anne’s Law project team are running a webinar on 28 June about including family carers as partners in care.
Families and friends of people who live in care homes have an essential part to play as partners in care, fulfilling a variety of roles which support people’s wellbeing and personhood, and which go far beyond “just being a visitor”. This interactive session will explore issues around family inclusion, strategies for facilitating partnership, and consider some of the barriers and challenges that may exist. The session is aimed at staff in care homes for adults and older people, but anyone with an interest in the subject is welcome to attend.
