We recently launched guidance for care at home providers on developing a policy for the prevention and management of pressure ulcers. The guidance can be accessed here.
The Health and Social Care Improvement Team will host a webinar to support care at home services to take account of the guidance. The webinar will cover the pressure ulcer standards and policy guidance, focusing on a preventative approach so that skin damage is picked up at an early stage and escalated. The webinar will also focus on areas for staff training.
