The Scottish government asked us to design a staffing method framework, firstly for adult care homes. This has been created in response to the Act, and in consultation with adult care homes services and stakeholders. Following the development of a staffing method the Scottish Ministers may make regulations to require care service providers to use that method. These regulations may include, for example, stating the types of care services and individuals working in a care service to which the method relates, the minimum frequency at which the method is to be used and the staffing level tools that must be used.
