Foundations for Self-directed Support in Scotland

A free OpenLearn course developed by the Open University with support from Scottish Government. The course explains the origins of the SDS legislation, the principles it is based on, and its potential to enable citizens to become active participants in designing, selecting and using care and support services.

The e-learning is designed to be used flexibly and it is possible to pick and choose the sections that are of particular interest.  The whole course takes between 40 and 60 hours, and a single unit will involve around seven to nine hours of study.
