Palliative care in Scotland: Research into Practice

Date of event: 11/05/2017

MacDonald Holyrood Hotel, Edinburgh

This event is a free half day seminar to see what palliative care research exists in Scotland, what gaps there are and how this can help inform and improve the reach and quality of palliative care.

Researchers from Marie Curie, the University of Edinburgh, NHS Lothian and the University of Glasgow, as part of the new Scottish Palliative and End of Life Care Research Forum, have undertaken a comprehensive scoping review of Scottish palliative care research, published between 2006-2015. The event will focus on the results of this scoping review and how research is used to inform future clinical practice, service development and policy.

The event will be opened by Shona Robison MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Health and Sport.
