Example of inspection report contents, which take account of the Winterbourne View recommendations and the Keys to Life national strategy
The Care Inspectorate has compiled these example inspection reports using the comprehensive work undertaken by inspectors and team managers during their development day on 25 March 2015. Applicable to adult care home service for people with learning disabilities (and relevant to other service types, the two examples of inspection report contents cover four statements; they are not full reports and should not be considered as exemplars or benchmarks.
The first example reflects a weak service, the second a very good service. They are written about a fictional care home, but many of the areas directing improvement or demonstrating very good practice would be relevant to real services and other service types.
