Independent Care Review
The Independent Care Review produced a number of reports following three years of work. The Review listened to more than 5,500 experiences, of which over half came from children and young people with experience of the care system or adults who have lived in care and their families.
The reports are as follows:
- The Promise (and a Pinky Promise for younger readers), reflecting what the
Review heard and what Scotland must do “to make sure its most vulnerable
children feel loved and have the childhood they deserve”
- The Plan, explaining how this change must happen
- The Money and Follow the Money, explaining how Scotland can invest better
in its children and families
- The Rules, demonstrating the current legislative framework and how it must
change to achieve The Promise.
