Understanding the Social Factors which may impact on children in the Early Years
This module will help you to explore how a range of social factors can impact on children's health, wellbeing, development and behaviour. You will be encouraged to think about how you can support children and families affected by a range of social factors. The importance of relationships and attachment-led practice will be discussed. In addition you will develop your knowledge and understanding of how relationships and environments influence early brain development and reflect on the implications for your own practice. Other topics such as how to build on the assets and strengths that families bring and what trauma-informed practice means for you will also be explored.
